IFAC is located in Miami, Florida. Miami is much more than a warm, sub-tropical metropolis on a beautiful beach! In the past decade, the city has become a major hub for art, fashion, painting, film, photography, and design.

Miami is the fourth largest apparel manufacturing center in the world. In entertainment, the trend is similar. Los Angeles is first in annual revenues for entertainment, New York City is second, and Miami, a relative newcomer to the world to entertainment, is a close third at $2 billion in annual revenues.

However, Miami is the fastest growing entertainment capital with opportunities opening for artists, animators, designers, filmmakers, and photographers.

All six of the major multinational recording labels -- Sony, EMI, Polygram, WEA, Universal, and BMG -- have their Latin American headquarters on Miami Beach or across the causeway, where IFAC is located, near Downtown Miami. MTV Latin America is based in Miami, as are many other Latin cable networks -- from Nickelodeon to Discovery to the Cisneros Television Group, which operates eight cable channels seen throughout Latin America.

Miami's powerful connections with the Caribbean, Central, and South American markets means that nearly every top fashion designer showcases his or her collections in Miami. The South Beach fashion scene is a major focus of the international fashion industry.

Nearly every top advertising agency has offices in Miami. South Florida is the corporate headquarters for business giants including Burger King.

Miami is also a major market center for interior design and boasts one of the nation's largest interior design showrooms.

The building which houses International Fine Arts College was designed by Mr. F. H. Foster and constructed in the late 1920's, drawing inspiration from Spanish Renaissance architecture. Mr. Foster's enchanting creation including remarkable features such as hand-painted Spanish tiles, a marble ballroom, and delicate Spanish chandeliers hanging from grand eighteen foot ceilings.

Located next door to the main College building is the complex known as The Grand, a mammoth, forty-two floor edifice containing apartments, shops, and the Doubletree Hotel. The Grand houses the College's state-of-the-art Computer, Admission Office, and the Daniel M. Stack Memorial Library.
