Thieves hit a St. George's gas station in broad daylight on Wednesday, making off with cigarettes, chocolates and drinks.

According to a Police spokesman the victim reported that he left Dowling's Marine and Auto Shell Gas Station at 10:30am only to return at 1pm to discover the break in.

He reported that seven cartons of Marlboro and Camel cigarettes were missing along with the food and drink.
