General manager and part owner of the Palm Reef Hotel, Mrs. Bridget Marshall, could not be reached for comment yesterday while the law firm of Moniz & George, acting for the hotel has also declined comment at this time. Warwick Hotel Company sold the Harbour Road hotel to Mrs. Marshall, Mr. Emilio Barbieri and Mr. John Jefferis in 1989.

That trio changed the name of the hotel to the Palm Reef from the Inverurie that same year.
