Well-known chef Fred Ming, who was injured in a bike accident several weeks ago, will be transferred to Massachusetts General Hospital for further treatment.

His wife, Dr. Charlotte Ming, said yesterday that Mr. Ming will be transferred as soon as a bed becomes available.

Mr. Ming was seriously injured while he was riding his bike on South Shore Road at the Collector?s Hill junction.

He was transferred to a general ward at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital this week.

?It?s been a gradual and slow recovery, but sure recovery,? said Dr. Ming, who thanked the public for their prayers and support.
