In fine Bermuda tradition, the roof of the new Tuckers Point Golf Club House was anointed with black rum to signal its near completion as part of the exclusive million dollar development.

The Club House will officially open in November on the Tuckers Point $350 million development at the site of the former Marriott Castle Harbour Hotel.

The design of the building reflects traditional Bermudian architecture with sculpted chimneys, British colonial interior design and drop shutters.

Mr. Ed Trippe, President of Tucker?s Point Club climbed up to the roof of the clubhouse yesterday to do the honours.

?This day marks another milestone in the development of Tucker?s Point Club,? said Mr. Trippe. ?It brings us one step closer to fulfilling our vision of a full service luxury resort and residential community that will bring new distinction to Bermuda.?

?The ClubHouse is a credit to the many local firms who?s hard work and commitment to excellence are being showcased,? he continued.

Facilities in the Golf ClubHouse include a grill room and lounge, dining room, board room, and a fitness room. The club hopes to lure golfers and club members with their guests to enjoy drinks, fine dining, and beautiful views.

The Tuckers Point Club has now completed its golf course, beach club, Tennis Centre, and town houses and estate homes on its 200 acre site on the former Marriott Castle Harbour Hotel.

Next summer the club will open its tourist product, The Residence Club.

The principal investors in Tucker?s Point Club are Bermuda Properties Limited and Argus Insurance Company.
