TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 16: A motorcyclist was this morning in a stable condition in intensive care after colliding with a truck.

The accident happened yesterday at 6.30pm on Middle Road, in Southampton, near the junction with Granaway Lane.

Police said it appeared that the truck and the motorcycle were both traveling along Middle Road when they collided, injuring the 22-year-old Southampton bike rider who was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where he was today said to be stable in the intensive care unit.

The truck driver, a 57-year-old Sandys man, was not injured.
