Police are looking for a pair of thieves who attacked two visitors with rocks and sticks at a North Shore Road beach on Tuesday.

The couple were leaving the water at Deep Bay Beach in Pembroke when they spotted two men going through their belongings on the beach.

A scuffle broke out and rocks were thrown at the visitors as they ran to protect their belongings. One of the visitors was then struck on the elbow with a stick, suffering abrasions, bruising and swelling.

The suspects escaped but not before they took a Canon S30 Powershot camera and a silver and gold watch. Police said one of the suspects is 5ft 8in with a close haircut. He was last seen wearing blue shorts, no shirt and a dark-coloured hat. The other suspect was last seen wearing blue baggy pants, running shoes and a t-shirt wrapped around his head.

Low-ride motorcycle enthusiasts are invited to join the Bermuda Low-Ride Motorcycle Club in the Bermuda Day Ride on Monday.

Participants are asked to be at the Hamilton Ferry Terminal at 11.15 a.m. where bike fans will get to take a closer look at the motorbikes.

The ride will start five minutes before the parade at 12.55 p.m. when all the bikers begin their lap around the parade grounds.

Police are staging a charity equestrian event in aid of the Riding for the Disabled and the Bermuda Equestrian Federation Junior Fund.

The gymkhana takes place on Saturday, May 22 at 9 a.m. at the National Equestrian Centre on Vesey Street, Devonshire.

Highlights will include pony rides and face painting. Admission is free.
