Murder charge in Wilson case

Damion Wayne Smith, of North Shore Road, was charged in Magistrates' Court with murdering Reginald Chesterfield Wilson between February 14 and 22 last year.

Smith, represented by Ms Victoria Pearman, was not required to enter a plea.

Ms Pearman made no application for bail.

Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis held the case over for mention on October 4 and Smith was remanded in custody.

Last week, Shawn C.H. Smith and Jamal T. Smith were both convicted of manslaughter in connection with Wilson's death.

Shawn Smith received a seven-and-a-half-year sentence while Jamal Smith received two years in prison.

Wilson's body was found floating in the ocean on February 22, 1994.
