Mark Rowe continues to be the man to beat in the Luders 16 class, following another pair of first-place finishes in the Fall Series on Saturday in the

Rowe has now won all four races in the series and holds a seven-point lead over Kate Weber who added two second-place finishes on the weekend to her second and fourth in the first two races earlier this month.

Rowe has three points with Weber on 10 and Dan Bucher, with two thirds on the weekend, in third place on 11 points.

Two more races in the Etchells 22 class for the Commodore's Cup sees Tim Patton still leading the series even though he could only finish seventh in the second race of the day after placing second in the first race.

Patton has 101 points but his nearest rival going into the weekend, Adam Barboza, who trailed him by just two-and-a-half points, did not compete on the weekend.

In second now is Dennis Correia/Mike Tatem on 163 points following their first and second place finishes for the day, their first races in the series.

Just two points separate the top three skippers in the J-24 class. John Musson is the leader on 103 points following his two thirds on Saturday, with Michael Emery putting together a second and a first to give him 113 points and place him in second spot.

J.Neal/Trevor Boyce is also in contention on 123 points after two firsts on the weekend. Just five skippers competed on the weekend.

The pair of Larry Davis/A.McKay lead the IOD's KNS Tray series with 13 points after second and fourth places while Simon Templeton has 16 points.

After two races in the Tornado Fall Series, Jay Kempe holds the early lead following his two firsts, which give him one-and-a-half points. Allan Powell, with his two seconds, is second on four points while Eddie Bardgett and Malcolm McBeath are tied on seven points.

ROAD RUNNING RUN Sponsors of the annual Elbow Beach Half Marathon, due to be run on Sunday, November 15, have come up with an attractive draw prize, considered one of the best on the road running calendar.

All runners in the 13.1-mile race will be eligible for the prize -- two air tickets and hotel accommodation in Scottsdale, Arizona, worth an estimated $3,000.

The winner will enjoy a complimentary vacation at Wyndham's Paradise Valley Resort Hotel.

Meanwhile, the winning male and female runners will earn a weekend stay at the Wyndham Franklin Plaza Hotel in Philadelphia and a $250 travel voucher. And second-place finishers in each division will get $150 worth of sporting goods and a weekend for two at Elbow Beach.

A large number of other prizes will also be on offer.

The event, organised by Police Running Club on behalf of the Bermuda Track and Field Association, gets under way at 9 a.m. in Town Square, St. George's, and will finish at Elbow Beach Hotel in Paget.

Entry forms can be obtained and submitted at Sportseller or The New Winner's Edge. The deadline for entries is 4 p.m. on November 13.

MOTOCROSS SCR As a result of the protest of Kemo Simons' cycle during the meet last Sunday, the cycle was inspected by officials of the BACU and the piston displacement was found to be within the allowable limitations.

On Wednesday, November 11, the Allan Mello Memorial Race will be held at Coney Island Raceway starting at 12.30 p.m.
