Man accused of death attempt

A man, who had planned to sue Dr. Ewart Brown for $60 million in damages over the Global Positioning System, was charged in Magistrates' Court with attempting to cause the death of a woman. Lloyd Hilton Smith, 53, of no fixed abode, was not required to plead, as the offence will be tried in the Supreme Court.
He was charged with unlawfully attempting to cause the death of Nicole Janee Lambert, detaining her against her will and without lawful authority or reason had possession of an offensive weapon, a piece of metal. All three offences allegedly took place on March 1, of this year.
Acting Senior Magistrate Carlisle Greaves said: "Well now it's a question of bail or jail."
Smith was remanded in custody for mention on March 19.
