Trump inspires local fund-raising contest

The Apprentice concept made famous by Donald Trump?s television show has inspired a local company to create a fund-raising contest of the same name.

Internet Service Provider Logic Communications is encouraging its employees to give back to the community in the next three weeks by participating in a unique ?Trump-style fund-raising contest?. Chris Malato, director of Integration Services is Logic?s Donald Trump.

The employees have actually been participating in an internal version of The Apprentice for the past ten weeks as an internal training exercise. Their company?s specific ?Apprentice tasks? included asking staff to identify internal issues that slow their productivity and make recommendations to solve them.?Jeff Hamill, Logic Communications CEO said the goal was to encourage employees to ?think outside the box and interact with others from all departments?.

?We?re a relatively small company of 70, but due to the diverse nature of our business employees from different departments often have no contact with each other. We planned The Logic Apprentice in an attempt to improve interdepartmental communication, resulting in a more unified customer experience.?

The final round of The Logic Apprentice will see three teams competing for a Grand Prize that has not yet been revealed. Each team is organising a community fund-raising campaign for a Bermuda registered charity.
