Police are keeping a close eye on people who attempt to flout the law by stealing the TCD bike re-licensing stickers. Det. Con. Brian Robinson of the Vehicle Crime Unit said riders who do not re-license will pull the stickers off livery cycles.

The Police have encountered several sticker thefts over the last several weeks.

Drivers who fall victim to sticker theft have to either go back to TCD and get another, or drive around without one if it is stolen after hours or on the weekend.

?Just this week a crew in Somerset picked up a guy for shoplifting and we discovered that he had a sticker from a livery cycle from Oleander cycles,? said Mr. Robinson.

Richard Outerbridge, technical manager at TCD, suggested taking some precautions. ?Before the sticker gets put on cycle, clean the license plate with alcohol so the adhesive sticks properly. Make sure to carry your have proof that the cycle was licensed,? he added.
