Three arrested for impaired driving
Patrol officers had a busy weekend pulling over suspected drink drivers.
Police on duty on South Road, near Bermuda College, saw a motorcycle almost strike a kerb near the Paraquet restaurant at about 2.30 a.m. on Saturday.
The rider turned on to Southcote Road and ?grazed up? against a nearside hedge. He was stopped by officers who said he struggled to put his bike on its stand before he was taken to Hamilton Police Station for a breath test.
Just before midnight the same day, Police pulled over a van heading west on North Shore Road, near the Bermuda Aquarium. He was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
And another suspected drink driver was stopped at Kindley Field roundabout at about 11.40 p.m. on Saturday.
Patrol officers were on duty at the junction of Southside Road and St. David?s Road, St. George?s, when they saw a Honda Scoopy bike heading west on Southside Road at a ?high rate of speed?.
The rider, who was carrying a pillion passenger, was unsteady on his feet when stopped. He was arrested and tested.
