Two cases of driving while impaired were heard in Magistrates' Court yesterday with Acting Senior Magistrate Carlisle Greaves disqualifying both drivers for 12 months.

On August 23 Adam Burton, 30, of My Lord's Bay was arrested for impaired driving after Police stopped him for driving a motorcycle without a light and without his helmet fastened.

When Police stopped Burton they noticed he smelled of intoxicants and had a hard time keeping steady when he put his foot down to stop. When asked whether he had been drinking the man replied: "Yes, I'm over the limit."

And on September 17 Sidney Milton, 49, of Paget, was seen on a livery cycle swerving from side to side on the road.

Yesterday the court heard that Milton struggled to get the bike on its stand. He later told Police that he had "had too many".

Mr. Greaves disqualified both men from driving any motor vehicles for 12 months and fined them each $1,000.
