A 30-year-old man will be sent to Supreme Court to face six charges including kidnapping.

Kwesi Hollis, of Scaur Lane, Sandys, was charged indictably yesterday in Magistrates' Court with trespassing, wilful damage to a house, unlawful assault, possession of an offensive weapon (Samurai sword), and depriving a six-year-old girl and a 21-year-old woman of their liberty (kidnapping) .

The alleged incident happened on April 30 in the Middletown area of Pembroke.

Crown counsel Cindy Clarke objected to bail but Acting Senior Magistrate Carlisle Greaves was not satisfied with her application and granted it.

Defence lawyer Elizabeth Christopher appeared for Hollis.

Hollis was bailed on $5,000 with a surety. He was ordered to surrender all travel documents and have no contact with the complainants. Mr. Greaves specifically ordered Hollis to remain at least 100 yards away from them, their places of work, and their home and report to the Somerset Police Station on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

A mention date was set for May 19.
