Alateen Meeting at St. Paul's Christian Education Center in Paget from 5.30 to 6.30 p.m. every Wednesday including during school holidays. Alateen, part of the Al-Anon Family Groups, is a fellowship of young people whose lives have been affected by alcoholism in a family member or friend. Members help each other by sharing their experience strength and hope.
April 9
400th Year Anniversary Youth Task Force 'Youth Forum' at the Berkeley Institute. An opportunity for Bermuda's youth to discuss issues such as gang violence, teen sexuality, Facebook and more.
Bermuda Society of Arts Gallery 400 reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Celebrating Bermuda's unique culture and traditions, including Kite Contest, Easter Bonnet Contest, traditional music and dance. Admission free. Located top floor, City Hall, Hamilton. For more information call 292-3824.

La Leche League of Bermuda will hold a support group meeting open to pregnant women, new mothers and babies at 10.30 a.m. in the first floor conference room at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital. The meeting topic is 'To Wean or Not to Wean?'. LLL of Bermuda is a registered charity, offering mother-to-mother help and encouragement to women wanting to breastfeed their babies. An accredited La Leche League Leader will be present to answer questions and address concerns. The meeting discussions include the latest medical research as well as personal experience. Free literature and a lending library will be available. Light refreshments will be served. Call 236-1120 for further information.

Bermuda Diabetes Association in their 30th year presents their Annual General Meeting with a special presentation by American diabetes expert Dr. Thomas Flood who will give a lively and interesting look at how diabetes went from a relatively unknown disease to a world epidemic in less than 30 years. The Botanical Society Walk around Spittal Pond, guided by Dr. David Wingate with a 9 a.m. start. Meet at the eastern entrance. Members and non-members welcome.

L'Alliance Francaise des Bermudes presents 'Her name is Sabine' a movie about a 38-year-old autistic woman. At the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute at 8 p.m. Money raised will go to local autism societies. Tickets are $5 for Alliance members, $8 for non-members and $3 for students.
April 22
The International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) will hold their Annual Administrative Professionals Day 'Brilliance In Action' at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess. Bermuda Maritime Museum, Dockyard: (1) Commissioner's House: The Exploring Voyage of HMS Challenger in Bermuda 1873. A selection of original and reproduction photographs depicting Bermuda, which were used as evidence in the scientific reports of the Challenger voyage, 1872-76. (2) From the Fay and Geoffrey Elliott Collection: 'U-505 Captured', an exhibit telling the remarkable story of the capture off western Africa and the hiding in Bermuda of the submarine U-505. (3) Steinhoff Magazine, High Cave: 'Prisoners in Paradise': Artefacts in Bermuda cedar/stone/other materials created by Dockyard convict establishment, and prisoners of the Boer and World Wars.
