two have retired.

Police spokesman Sgt. Chris Wilcox said Insp. Kenrick James was promoted from Sergeant and assumed command of Prosecutions following the retirement of Insp.

Peter Duffy.

Also retired is Sgt. John Van de Weg who joined the Service in 1967 and served with the Computer Section, Prosecutions Department, Central Division, Administration and as a Parish Constable during his career.

Sgt. Wilcox said Insp. James was taking over as head of Prosecutions after serving in that department, Special Branch, Cycle Squad, Central Division and Eastern Division since he joined the service in 1973.

The seven other promotions are from the rank of Constable to Sergeant.

Sgt. Antoine Daniels will assume his new duties at Central CID after serving there and in the Eastern Division since joining the Service in 1986.

After serving with Central Division, Narcotics Department and Western Division since 1985, Sgt. Sean Field-Lament will work in Narcotics under his new rank.

And Sgt. James Howard will assume his new position at Central Division after serving there and with the Motor Cycle Patrol Section, Cycle Squad, Traffic Division, Central CID and as a Parish Constable since joining the Police in 1986.

Following joining the service in 1984, Sgt. Craig Morfitt worked with Central Division, Central CID, Western CID and the National Intelligence Unit where he will continue to work under his new rank.

Sgt. Peter Morgan will assume his new duties at Central CID where he worked after joining the Police in 1984. He has also served with the Fraud Squad, Traffic Division and Central Division.

Meanwhile Sgt. Kenville Savoury has been posted to Eastern Division where he had been stationed previously. Since joining the Service in 1979, Sgt. Savoury has also worked in the Narcotics Section, Central Division, Traffic Division and the Motor Cycle Patrol Section.

And after serving in Eastern Division, Central Division, Western Division and with the Fingerprint Department since joining the Police in 1985, Sgt. Junior Watts has been posted to Central Division.
