A trial date was set for two men accused of the manslaughter in the death of Jermaine `Red' Pitcher outside Champion's Night Club last February.

Jamal Robinson and Keniel Ingham will face trial on October 2 for their alleged parts in the death of 28-year-old Pitcher. Both men are currently out on bail.

Last month a third man involved in Mr. Pitcher's death, Ryan Ball, was sentenced to ten years for manslaughter.

In a previous arraignments session Ball attempted to deflect charges from Robinson and Ingham, interrupting the February session to say his co-accused were innocent.

Three new matters and 17 mentions went ahead during yesterday's monthly arraignments in Supreme Court. Acting Chief Justice Norma Wade-Miller oversaw the arraignments as Chief Justice Austin Ward is off the Island.

Adam Leroy King pleaded guilty to stealing a wallet containing $95 and will be sentenced later this month.

A Spanish-speaking man accused of sexual assault was not required to plea to the charge yesterday because a Spanish translator had not yet been found.

And two men pleaded not guilty to charges of aggravated robbery and unlawful grievous bodily harm.

Both Keenan Anthony Tucker and Keeman Fitzgerald Tucker deny robbing and assaulting a man on August 19 of last year.

Clifton Hopeton Morrison appeared in Supreme Court on charges of drug importation dating back to February 1999. Morrison has already had one full trial and two aborted trials.

Morrison's mention was adjourned till next month's session at the request of Director of Public Prosecutions Khamisi Tokunbo.

Two men accused of the robbery and stabbing of Aaron Hooper during a reggae concert in 1999 will be sentenced on May 21. Marcus Shawn Bean is to be sentenced for stabbing Hooper, a charge to which he pleaded guilty in December of last year. A jury found David Jahwell Cox guilty of robbing Hooper.

Following the arraignment session, 20-year-old Markos Wold was scheduled for sentencing.

Wold pleaded guilty last December in Magistrates' Court to stalking.

Wold and the young woman had dated for roughly 18 months while both attended school.

After the two split, Wold began harassing the young woman, following her around and making unwanted calls.

Yesterday, Crown counsel Juan Wolffe submitted an application for a mental order for Wold which would see him placed in St. Brendan's hospital rather than Westgate.

However, Acting Chief Justice Norma Wade-Miller said that given that Wold had appeared unrepresented at all his court appearances she felt he should have legal aid before such an application was considered.
