Action gets under way on Saturday with an encounter between a Teachers Invitational XV and a touring side from Princeton University.

The Teachers side, managed by Brian Toms and coached by Peter Booth, boasts three national squad players -- Bobby Hurdle, Dave Cooke and Andre Simons.

The other members of the 19-man Teachers Invitational line-up are Dave Buckley, Mike Harding, Thad Holliss, Paul Gilmore, Dan Bucher, Anthony Cupidor, Mike McTurk, Kent Hayward, Colin Lunn, James Lowry, Roman Romeo, Sal Cantarella, Craig Brangman, Doug Mitchell, Daniel Morgan, Billy McNiven.

The game, which will be followed by a Tourism Department reception, is set to kick off at 3 p.m.

Saturday's friendly encounter will act as a curtain-raiser for Sunday's finals of the Rothmans Cup and Nicholl Shield.

Teachers face Renegades in the Second Division Cup game, while Police and Renegades contest the First Division Shield.

Bermuda's stars of the future will also get a chance to shine on Sunday before the fate of the last trophies of the domestic season is decided.

A junior rugby game will kick off at 12.30 p.m., followed by the Rothmans final at 2 p.m. and the Nicholl final at 3.30 p.m.

The youngsters, who have graduated from this season's Sunkist-sponsored Try Rugby programme, got a chance to demonstrate the improvement in their game at the recent "Skills Olympics''.

Kevin Mutch took first prize in the Under 10 `Mini' section, while Christopher Lima finished second and Nicholas Dunkle third.

Ronan Kane was the champion in the 10-12 group, followed by Ian Morrison and Adrian Beasley.

The hotly-contested 13-15 section was won by Otis Simons, with Furquan Khuldun taking second, and David McHugh and Kevin Zuill sharing third.

The champion in the 16-and-over section was Steven Cardwell.

Another youth encounter is scheduled for a week on Sunday, before the season-ending Easter Classic, when the youngsters will get the chance to meet some of the stars of the international scene.
