Photo evidence sought by Police
Police continue to hunt for evidence surrounding Sunday's fight at Southampton Oval, which took place around 5 p.m. They asked the public to come forward with any information they might have, especially video footage and pictures. Anyone with any information should contact the Serious Crime Unit on 295-0011.
Phone, CDs and eyeglasses stolen
A car parked outside a Second Avenue, Devonshire, home was broken into on Sunday night. A thief took everything from the victim's phone and CDs to his prescription glasses. The man's blue Suzuki FB 100 was also stolen.
A Deep Bay Lane, Pembroke, home was also broken into on Monday afternoon, and $150 worth of cash and jewellery stolen.
Police are investigating both incidents.
Residents urged to lock their bikes
Police are encouraging riders of motorcycles and auxiliary cycles to lock their bikes after a spate of thefts at the weekend.
"We would like to advise the public to secure their vehicle with a supplementary lock as well as the locking mechanism of the cycle before leaving it parked and unattended even for short periods of time," Police said.
Also this weekend, three people were arrested for suspected drunk driving and there were eight incidents of breaking and entering. There were also nine damage-only road-traffic collisions and seven collisions resulting in injury.
Teens scooped up after break-in
Two 18-year-olds were arrested after being suspected of breaking into the Bailey's Bay Ice Cream Parlour on Sunday morning.
When Police arrived at the Blue Hole Hill shop at 3.10 a.m. they heard glass breaking and caught a Hamilton Parish man who tried to run away. A Devonshire man was later arrested after. Both men were detained and inquiries into this incident are underway.
