Dear Sir,

Arriving on the I had the pleasure to visit Bermuda on July 12 and July 13. My teenage son and I rented pedal bikes and were able to see much of your beautiful country from the Royal Naval Dockyard to St. George?s.

On our second day as we were heading back to Dockyard, I could not find my son on the roadway. While biking, he would regularly wait for me to catch up to him. As I was continuing toward Malabar Road, I could not see him and became very concerned; it was unlike him not to be waiting, especially at the bridge.

I headed back to Somerset Village and the Police Station (Earlier in the morning, we had stopped there to ask directions and were treated with very gracious hospitality). The officers immediately sensed my anxiety and were most reassuring. They made phone calls to the bike rental company to see if he may have reached our destination at the Dockyard. An officer was also sent to look for him, explaining where I last had seen him ahead of me.

After a little more than 30 minutes, we were reunited. I wanted to share with your readers my appreciation for the compassion, assistance, and friendliness that the Somerset police had offered to a frantic tourist. I am grateful.
