Men's condition improving

Four days after he was stabbed during an altercation at the Spinning Wheel night-club, a 23-year-old Pembroke man remains in critical condition in the hospital.

"He's a bit better than yesterday," a nursing supervisor at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital said last night.

According to Police, just after 11.00 p.m. on Sunday night, the man was involved in a disturbance with three others when he was knifed.

Inquiries into the incident are continuing. Police are asking anyone who may have information relating to the stabbing to call 295-0011 or the Confidential Crimestoppers Hotline at 1-800-623-8477.

Meanwhile the 28-year-old Hamilton parish man involved in a serious road traffic accident on Sunday has been released from hospital.

The man had been flung into the path of an oncoming car after his motorbike struck a kerb on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish.
