A 50-year-old man who was caught drink driving for the fifth time since 1991 will spend the next six months in prison.
Colin Brown, 50, of Pembroke, pleaded guilty to the charge which came after he was involved in a collision on Dundonald Street last month.
Brown was involved in the car accident just after 1.30 a.m. on May 19. When Police arrived at the scene and spoke to Brown, he said he had just left a Leopards Club meeting.
“His breath smelled of intoxicants, his speech was slurred and his eyes were glazed,” Crown counsel Oonagh Vaucrosson told the court.
Brown was previously found guilty on four counts of driving while impaired between April 12, 1991 and April 22, 2000.
