Entertainers, make sure your voice is heard
An emergency meeting has been called by the Bermuda Federation of Musician and Variety Artists to discuss the impact of immigration rules on local entertainers.
A spokeswoman for the group declined to provide details — but said it was “very important” that members and non-members alike turn out for the forum.
“There are things we need to let the public know about concerning immigration policies,” she said.
“We need members and non-members to attend — they all need to know exactly what’s going on.”
The musicians’ union will hold the meeting this Sunday at 5pm at the Leopards Club in Hamilton.
Group president Leroy Simmons called on “all of Bermuda’s singers, musicians, comedians, magicians, dancers, actors, audio-visual technicians, promoters, DJs and the like, to be in attendance, to get information, and for you to let your voice be heard”.
