Almost 2,000 of the top-performing sales, marketing and services employees from information technology giant IBM will be in Bermuda over the next two weeks.

The group will be staying at the Fairmont Southampton Hotel and comprises the top two percent of outstanding performers in their respective fields from the network of IBM offices and subsidiaries around the world.

On Monday, Premier Alex Scott will deliver a welcome address to the first 600 people from the group who will arrive from IBM's European operations. A further 600 employees from the North and South American markets will be welcomed by Education Minister Terry Lister on April 15, and the following week Senator Walter Roban will address the final group of 600 IBM staff who will travel to Bermuda from the Asian Pacific rim.
