A tower of strength
honda Daniels? mother has been a loving tower of strength to her children, grandchildren and extended family. Ms Daniels says her mom?s name is Louise Virginia Daniels, but to her nieces and nephews she is affectionately known as Aunt Vise.
Her mother also became the Bermuda Spirit recipient for 2005 on May 1, at the Coco Reef Hotel. Ms Daniels? mother had four children of which she is the eldest.
She says: ?There were four of us Roma or Romie as we called her, was the middle one, Roxann or Roxie is the youngest girl, and then Kyle my brother who is the baby.?
When asked for the best memory of her mother Ms Daniels says: ?When my sister Roma passed away four-and-a-half-years ago, my mother was very strong. She just seemed to take charge of things. While the family was still in shock, she kept us together, even though I know deep down she was grieving too. She has a strong faith in God and believes that he will surely guide you through the roughest of times. When Romie died, her two boys, Rejon and Ian, had been staying with my parents while she was in the hospital. Being a Nana for my mother, means ensuring that her two grandsons do not go without for anything. She would give them the world and they know they are truly loved and blessed to have a grandmother like her.?
Ms Daniels mother?s presence has inspired her to be a better person and to achieve her dreams.
