It's time for Jazz and Razzmatazz, and once again Amnesty International (AI) is sponsoring the annual concert, which is its major fundraiser. The date is this Sunday, November 24, the venue is the Fairmont Hamilton Princess hotel, and the time is 3 to 7 p.m.
Participating performers, who are donating their time and talent, are: Wendell (Shine) Hayward, Toni Bari and Friends, Tempo, James Richardson and Friends, Phiemma Caisey, Brass Works, Dennis Fox & Friends, Dance-fusion, Stephan Ahknathon, Phil Morrison and Friends, and Tropical Express.
Tickets ($30) are available at The Music Box, The Body Shop and True Reflections.
The funds raised from this event will be used for AI's human rights awareness programmes in Bermuda, when ex-prisoners of conscience, relatives of victims of human rights abuses, and others give presentations to schools, clubs, and the general public about human rights abuses taking place around the world.
AI is urging everyone to come out and enjoy an afternoon of superb jazz while at the same time supporting the organisation in its struggle against human rights abuses.
