A 42 associate brought a gun to a city bar during a meeting with rivals Parkside, then pulled the trigger at them on Reid Street, a prosecutor alleged today.
Alvone Maybury, 24, is said to be part of a group from 42 who met Parkside for a discussion at Captain’s Lounge in Hamilton, on the night of December 18, 2009.
According to prosecutor Carrington Mahoney’s opening speech in his Supreme Court trial, Maybury fired a shot in the direction of the opposing group before fleeing in a car. Maybury denies possessing a gun and ammunition and discharging a shot from a gun.
