Hines takes top honour
Bermuda Horse and Pony Association's (BHPA) Fall Horse Show in Devonshire saw You'll be Amazed crowned Champion Hunter Pony.
You'll be Amazed,owned and ridden by Lucas Bridge, held off a challenge from fellow newcomer to the Island, The Guardian, to win the award, while Colour Me Happy placed third.
The top junior rider for the weekend was JayLynn Hines who took home the coveted prize of overall champion, and placed first in the 1.10 metre horse jumping class along with The Patriot. Hines will represent Bermuda in a junior jumping competition in Santiago, Chile, next month.
Other winners included Sasha Kane and Just For Kicks who won the 0.75m jumping, and Christine Terceira and Simply Ned who triumphed in the 0.95m jumping.
Rebecca Carne and her mount, Limited Edition, placed first in both over fences classes of the Low Hunter Division and Khaleb Tota continued his good form by winning the junior equitation under 12 years divsion.
Melinda DeCosta and Bismark claimed both the flat class and over fences of the adult equitation. She also became the show's overall adult reserve champion with Denise Belton, the champion.
