ICS looks to expand services
Bermuda-based applications services provider eVolution has selected eG Innovation?s Inc.?s (eG) ASPlite suite of automated infrastructure management tools to ensure it meets service level agreements (SLAs) with its customers.
eVolution will use the eG software to pinpoint and resolve network problems before they affect the applications, business processes and systems it manages for its corporate and government customers around the world. The company is part of local technology services provider Independent Consulting Solutions (ICS).
?We needed a management product that would help us quickly expand and maintain our services in the face of growing customer demand,? said Robert Salmon, ICS?s president and CEO.
Mr. Salmon added that eVolution will use eG ASPlite to detect problems automatically and notify IT managers long before they notice them. He said that these early warnings will help eVolution meet SLA standards for its outsourced managed services, tracking response times for its Citrix clients? access to websites, applications and databases.
According to Mr. Salmon, by collecting and consolidating performance information from network devices, systems and applications, the ASPlite suite will provide proactive real-time, end-to-end monitoring for eVolution customers worldwide. He said that eG?s systems, applications and network capabilities will allow eVolution to optimise its technical staff, better manage network bandwidth, increase application availability and improve application response time.
?The eG suite will help us meet the SLA?s our customers rightly expect from eVolution, our applications service provider,? he added. ?Using the performance data eG generates, our team is able to resolve problems before they impact end user productivity. This allows us to effectively plan for growth and maximise capacity.?
eG Innovations Inc. is headquartered in Iselin, New Jersey and describes itself as an industry leader in automating technology management of the Internet infrastructure.
