Sinclair named as Aspen?s new president and COO

Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited has named Stuart Sinclair its new president and chief operating officer as it moves to further its operations management at a time when it continues to diversify its portfolio.

From his London base, Mr. Sinclair will be responsible for internal performance including improving efficiency and communication across the Bermuda-based reinsurer?s diversified business lines and geographic locations.

He will also join the board of directors.

?I am confident that Stuart?s contributions will be felt immediately, as we remain focused on enhancing our performance internally and across our business lines,? said Aspen?s chief executive officer, Chris O?Kane.

?He brings a wealth of leadership experience in large international organisations and has an impressive financial services background.?

Mr. Sinclair, 53, was most recently president and CEO of Greater China, GE Financial Services, part of GE Capital.

Previously, he served as president and UK chief executive of GE Consumer Finance.

He previously held several positions at Royal Bank of Scotland, including CEO of Tesco Personal Finance and also held a number of management consultancy roles at firms based in the United States, including Mercer Management Consulting. .

Mr. Sinclair was an international economist, lecturing at the University of Reading and advising the Saudi Arabian Foreign Ministry.

He holds an MBA from UCLA, an MA in Economic Development from Rutgers University and an MA in Economics from the University of Aberdeen.
