Twenty-seven young Bermudians received certificates for reaching bronze, silver and gold standards in the award.

The award scheme, which has been running for 40 years in the United Kingdom under the patronage of the Duke of Edinburgh, aims to encourage young people to achieve their potential in areas of community service, expeditions, skills and physical recreation.

This years award winners were: Gold: Miss Daneika Bean and Mr. Jason Simons.

Silver: Mr. Marco Bortoli, Miss Jasmine Caines, Mr. Sean Mayers, Mr. Nicholas Pacheco, Mr. Tarik Smith and Miss Melissa Williams.

Bronze: Mr. Adrian Beasley, Mr. Daniel Burgess, Mr. Christopher Dawson, Miss Amanda Desilva, Miss Sakinah Dill, Mr. Mandell Douglas, Miss Rochee Douglas, Miss Candice Gaugain, Miss Gretchen Hasselbring, Miss Christianna Hiles, Mr.
