Tears of joy ? and sadness ? are part and parcel of teenage beauty pageants and the Miss Teen Bermuda pageants are no exception.magazine, free in tomorrow?s , traces the different fortunes of two entrants in last November?s Miss Teen Bermuda.

Carla Zuill followed the progress of 13-year-old first-time entrant Karen Johnson and 17-year-old Sah-Shay Johnson through the competition. For Karen, the competition ended when she missed being selected as one of the ten finalists, but she refused to be downhearted, saying: ?I feel OK. I got used to being out there in front of the crowd. I feel great.?

For Sah-Shay, it all went right as she was crowned Miss Queen Bermuda at the end of the night.

And now she wants to use her new title to spread the words to her peers that ?they don?t need to turn to drugs to face life. They don?t need drugs for love?.
