Boat damaged in fire

A boat in Ferry Reach suffered extensive damage Tuesday as a result of a fire on board.

Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.

Officers responded to the report of a boat fire at 11.50 a.m. Tuesday to find Fire Service personnel already on hand battling the blaze.

The fire was eventually put out and no one was injured in the incident.

Thieves target Hamilton store

The Living Centre in Hamilton was broken into over the weekend. Police responded to a report that sometime between 4.45 p.m. on Friday, November 22 and 1.30 a.m. the next day a bag containing $300 was stolen from the premises.

The cash was inside a Bank of Butterfield bag. Inquiries are underway.

Thieves have a busy Sunday

Burglars broke into the St. George's Club and took tools and a video recorder overnight Sunday.

And $816 cash in a Bank of Butterfield deposit bag has been taken from a South Shore, Devonshire home. Several Bank of Bermuda and Bank of Butterfield cheques were taken during the burglary which happened between 5.30 p.m. and 8.30 p.m. on Sunday.

Police seek owner of rings

Police are appealing for the owner of two gold rings found at Bermuda International Airport to come forward and claim their jewellery.

The gold engagement and wedding rings, which have a 10k imprint inside, were found on Friday in the bathroom at the airport and handed in to Police.

Anyone who believes the rings are theirs, should contact P.c. Courtney Williams on 295-0011.

Italian tiles go missing

A construction site on the Railway Trail in Paget fell victim to a thief last weekend.

The complainant told Police he discovered a that a pallet containing 40 Italian-made tiles had been taken from the site.

The tiles were light, burnt orange in colour. Inquiries are underway.

Man robbed of DVD

A man who took a four-day trip overseas returned to his Pembroke home to find that someone had removed a DVD player and remote control from the premises.

On Saturday night, the Hallett Crescent man told Police he discovered the missing items when he arrived home from the airport earlier in the day.

The culprit gained entry into the home sometime between November 19 and November 23.
