Terence Astwood, 33, of Robinson's Marina, Sandys, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court yesterday to acting offensively to staff at the Department of Social Services.

Prosecutor Sgt. John Dale said Astwood entered the Government office on Church Street on July 18 and became abusive and offensive to one of the social workers.

Police were called after Astwood, who had been repeatedly asked to leave, refused to do so. Astwood was later arrested.

WOMAN STABBED CRM Woman stabbed A woman was stabbed in the leg during an argument in Hamilton early yesterday, Police said.

The incident took place at about 2 a.m. at the junction of Victoria and Parliament Streets.

A 29-year-old Devonshire woman was arguing with a male acquaintance when he stabbed her in the leg with a knife.

The woman was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where she received stitches.

BIKES SET ON FIRE FIR Bikes set on fire Police are probing the cause of a fire which left two cycles extensively damaged yesterday.

Police found a red Peugeot and a red Galaxy livery cycle ablaze shortly before 1 a.m. when they were called to the junction of Court and Front Streets.

A woman who was seen in the area at the time of the incident was assisting Police inquiries.
