Town, Village are on target

In the Mini Minor A Division, Dandy Town Reds and North Village Reds maintained their unbeaten records. Dandy Town were sharp as ever at St. John's field where they hammered neighbours BAA 7-1 with Khano Smith slamming four goals and Gladwin Smith two.

At nearby Bernard Park, North Village had a much easier task at home against Somerset Reds and scored a convincing 10-1 victory.

In other games Devonshire Colts Orange beat Boulevard Reds 5-1 with Ricky Saltus and Jai Stovell netting twice. Donavan Hill netted for the losers.

Wolves Yellow defeated Paget 3-2 while Hamilton Parish beat PHC 5-0 with goalkeeper Nigel Burgess outstanding for Parish.

In Mini Minor B Division play there were several close scores. Southampton Rangers defeated Hotels 3-2 with T.Wilkinson netting twice and S.Wilkinson once. Goalkeeper Wayne Raynor prevented Hotels from sharing the points, beautifully pushing a ball around the post near the end.

Other games saw Wolves beat Devonshire Colts Whites 4-1, St. George's outscored Boulevard Gold at home 4-0 while St. David's beat North Village Kids 2-0. North Village Whites beat Somerset Bridge 5-2 on goals by T.Goater and M.Simmons and Dandy Town Green got their first victory when they edged PHC Blacks 2-1.

In Minor Division play Somerset CC trounced St. David's 15-0 with Dyrone Smith hammering five goals while Devonshire Colts dished out harsh treatment to BAA, beating them 13-0 with Damon Ming netting five times, Cleavon Hill three and Vic Hollis twice.

Other games saw Raymond Glasford of PHC scoring a hat trick in their 6-0 triumph over Wolves. North Village beat Dandy Town 5-0 with Kimo Smith scoring a hat trick, Boulevard beat St. George's 3-1 and Paget getting over Somerset by a 5-3 score.

The Bantam Division saw Dandy Town's Allan Hypolite score a hat trick as his team beat BAA 6-1 while Southampton Rangers edged St. David's 2-1 at the Oval.

Other games saw Somerset CC hammer Wolves 8-0 and North Village beat PHC 2-0 at home.

West Pembroke outgunned Victor Scott 4-3 in a penalty shootout after a 0-0 draw to capture the A division title in yesterday's Primary Schools Six-a-Side Socer tournament at Shelly Bay Field.

There was a three-team playoff in the B Division between Francis Patton, Southampton Glebe and West Pembroke, who all finished on six points.

Francis Patton defeated Southampton Glebe 1-0 in the opening playoff match and then beat West Pembroke by a similar score to clinch the championship.
