The event, dubbed "Birds of a Feather'', will enable members of the computer industry to meet their counterparts and discuss problems with the experts.

"The Computer Society is excited about providing this new public forum for Bermuda's computer community,'' said activities committee chairman Mr. Peter Frese. "The event is for those people who face issues of making technology work in their homes and offices.

"They often have to `go-it-alone' and may be unaware of others who have found solutions to similar problems, or of the variety of resources that are available. The CSB believes there is a wealth of knowledge and experience in Bermuda and it is committed to encouraging all users to help each other.'' The CSB hopes the meeting will become a popular venue for the entire computer community to meet their counterparts and discuss questions with the experts, an association statement said.

BOF will cover hardware, software, networks and applications with "gurus'' ready to answer questions from such topics as; bulletin boards, imaging, office automation, client/server, the Internet, PCs, disaster recovery, education, LANs/WANs, and CAD.

The event is on Thursday, April 27 from 6-8.30 p.m. at the Mariners' Club, Richmond Road.
