Graeme McDowell is looking forward to a “great experience” when he comes to Bermuda for next week's PGA Grand Slam.

The US Open champion will arrive on the Island tomorrow and is already excited by the opportunity to play at Port Royal.

"The Grand Slam of golf is a very special event, it's the toughest four-ball to get into in the world, and to play in that as the US Open champion is going to be a great experience," said Mr. McDowell.

"Winning a major is something we dream about as professional golfers and it's a very elite field to be part of. I've heard great things about the golf course, and it looks like a stunning place."

He was the star of the recent Ryder Cup, sinking the put that secured victory for Europe.
