A man jogging on Port Royal Golf Course was chased and knocked down by a Rottweiler on Thursday morning.

The man said the Rottweiler came running up behind him and grabbed him, knocking him to the ground.

The man punched the dog on its second attack and the dog fell backwards, according to a Police report.

The owner of the dog than appeared and called the dog off.

The man sustained a slight puncture wound and a swollen knee, however he did not want to press charges.
