Former Bermuda Industrial Union leader offered his condolences over the death of former Police Officer P.c. Ian Davies who was maimed in the Belco riots.
Mr. Davies, who died last Monday at his home in Cambridge, England, suffered brain damage after he was assaulted with a golf club and his skull was fractured when striking workers clashed with Police in 1965.
Speaking in the House of Assembly on Friday Mr. Simmons said he had sincere sympathies for Mr. Davies.
He said: ?I speak on behalf of all the other workers who participated in that unfortunate event.?
