Police remain on the lookout for the driver of a black dump truck that fled the scene of an accident on East Broadway on Wednesday night.

The Police Service said yesterday that around 6.30 p.m. a maroon Toyota Corolla was travelling west on Crow Lane with a white Volkswagen Golf also travelling in the same direction in the adjoining lane when a 41-year-old Sandys women lost control and struck the white car.

The white car containing a 31-year-old Smith?s woman and two children passengers ? a three year old and a seven year old ? who were spun into the path of a black dump truck heading out of town. The front end of the Toyota was extensively damaged and the truck did not stop.

Police were still appealing for anyone with any information about the collision to contact P.c. Donowa on 295-0011.
