Swimmers grab more medals

The fifth and final day of the individual pool events at the Masters Swimming Championships in San Jose, Costa Rica, saw Bermuda move further up the medals table after grabbing 12 more pieces of hardware.

Annette Budge and Chris Smith each grabbed their fifth gold on the trot to move further in contention for high point trophy honours, while Kris Cash seized two golds for a total of four, leaving her second in her age group.

Other medals went to Jim McNichols (silver and bronze), Mike Cash (two silver), Trevor Nichols (two bronze, while Walt Johnson and Geoff Gardner each grabbed a bronze.

Today sees the relays taking place with freestyle and medley events slated, and Bermuda will once again be well represented.
