After a lengthy delay a six-man, six-woman jury was selected in the trial of Stanford Glenfield Archibald in Supreme Court yesterday.

Archibald, 39, formerly of Sandys, was accused of the 1985 murder of 19-year-old Aaron Easton who was found lying in a pool of blood on Laffan Street.

Archibald's first trial, held in early December of last year, was aborted because the Supreme Court had insufficient jurors to hold the case. At that time former Director of Public Prosecutions Khamisi Tokunbo said that the court's busy schedule would hold up the trial for at least seven months.

Archibald is represented by lawyers Mark Pettingill and Larry Mussenden. Director of Public Prosecutions Kulendra Ratneser, assisted by Juan Wolffe and Cindy Clarke, are prosecuting.

The trial starts today before Puisne judge Norma Wade Miller.
