Dear Sir: After watching the Eastern Counties game this weekend, here is the team I believe should be chosen by the St George’s selectors for the Annual Classic.

It is a team selected based on form and merit. These players have produced the goods this year and deserve to play. Also, it should be noted that the public deserve to see the best and most in-form players in the country.

St George’s team (in batting order): OJ Pitcher (captain), Jason Anderson, Fiqre Crockwell, Lionel Cann, Delyone Borden, Rodney Trott, Shannon Raynor or Allan Douglas, George O’Brien, Delray Rawlins (colt), Rudell Pitcher, Lateef Trott or Damali Bell. Reserve: Justin Pitcher.

Three spinners and three seam bowlers balance the team with very deep batting. I will wait until after the final trial to determine the No?7 and No?11 positions.
