Young, bright and ambitious
Rhett Hewitt, 28 is an XL reinsurance/underwriting assistant based in London.
Mr. Hewitt graduated from the University of Birmingham in 1996 with a degree in finance. He previously worked as an underwriting assistant in the Lloyd's of London market at Syndicate 1173 and as a claims broker for HSBC.
Sarah Carr, 24, a Bermudian, is a financial products and services analyst with XL in Bermuda. Ms Carr has an ARe (associate degree in reinsurance) and a BA in Anthropology from the University of Virginia.
She was previously an analyst with Financial Security Assurance Int. and an analyst with Bermuda law firm Appleby, Spurling & Kempe.
Yu Li, 29, is a vice-president of research with XL Weather and Energy in Stamford, Connecticut.
Dr. Li has a PhD and MA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a BA from San Francisco State University.He was previously a research assistant for professor Joseph Gyourko and professor Jeremy Siegel, The Wharton School, and a research assistant for professor Robert Inman, National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER).
Dr. Li was also a teaching assistant to two MBA level courses at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Kavan Tucker, 23, a Bermudian joined XL earlier this month as a business associate with XL Financial Solutions.
Mr. Tucker holds an MSc in Investment Risk Management from Cass Business School, City University of London and a BSc in Actuarial Science from St. John's University School of Risk Management, Insurance, and Actuarial Science in New York.
Mr. Tucker was previously an investment intern with Avocet Capital Management in London and an actuarial intern with ACE Global Markets/Tempest Re London, a student intern with Merrill Lynch Equity Research, New York and an actuarial summer intern with ACE Capital Re in Bermuda.
