The Bermuda Hospitals Board (BHB) has named Dion Tucker as their new chief information officer.

Mr. Tucker is currently vice president of Information Systems at Renaissance Reinsurance Holdings.

He will be responsible for information technology and telecommunications throughout BHB.

Mr. Tucker also co-chairs the Technology Leadership Forum, which provides mentoring and tutoring to college-level technology students. For his work, he was awarded the Most Inspiring Mentor Award during Tech Week 2010.

BHB chairman Herman Tucker said: "As a board, we have established a strategy to identify and develop Bermudians who have the skills and abilities to take on and succeed in leadership roles.

"It gives us great pleasure to appoint Mr. Tucker to this vital position, and we look forward to welcoming him to the senior management team."
