May is Red Shield Appeal month and to kick off the annual event the Salvation Army Divisional Band will perform on the porch of the Adult Library at noon today.

After the music, a March of Witness from the Library to the City Hall will take place, where Mayor Lawson Mapp and Major Lindsay Rowe will kick off the 2004-05 campaign.
