Draws were the order of the day in the top division as leaders Fire Service lost their perfect record with a 0-0 draw against second-placed Lobster Pot.

Defending champions BAA Wanderers missed the chance to gain some ground in third place when they, too, could only manage to draw, sharing the points in a 2-2 deadlock with Mariners.

Gary Flood and Steve Irvine scored for the Wanderers and Carlos Lopes and Frank Massaflor for Mariners.

Robin Hood and Ireland Rangers also drew 2-2, as Hood came back from 2-0 down at half time after two goals from Troy Berkeley gave Rangers the perfect start.

However, goals by Mike Lambe and Denton Leader clinched a 2-1 win for the Officers, their fifth straight which keeps them on top by three points.

West End rivals, Somerset Extros, and Forties kept the pressure on the leaders with five-goal victories which leaves them tied for second. Extros hammered fourth-placed Wolves 6-1 with Craig Brangman and Stevie Riley each netting twice and Donnie Simmons and Everett Wellman the others while Cecil Hendrickson replied for Wolves.

Forties blanked Bermuda Pest Control, fifth, 5-0 as Mike Williams scored twice and Brian Fubler, Kent Bascome and Steve Garratt one each.

In other action Devonshire Colts All-Stars edged by Valley 4-3 while Devonshire Lions stopped last-placed Exiles 3-2. Larry Benjamin (2) and Richard Jones and William Benjamin were the All-Stars scorers while Earl Pringle and Kevin Isaac (2) replied for Valley.

Anthony Amory, James Raynor and Raynel Perinchief scored for Lions in their victory over pointless Exiles who put up a fight with their goals coming from Allan Johnson and Blane Tucker.
