Race ace Bailey completes clean sweep

Davon Bailey defeated all comers in three races last Sunday in Bermuda Motorcycle Club racing.

Davon Bailey, who predicted big things this season after impressing European riders last year during a trip to Spain's Catalunya circuit, swept to victory in all three races during latest action in the Bermuda Motorcycle Racing Club season.

The Sub-Zero-sponsored rider took the maximum 75 point haul to extend his lead at the top of the table.

Mark Lightbourne came in second at Clearwater Beach with 53 points from the three races, with Ricky Pereira third four points adrift.

Scott Hunt, Edward Cook, Neville Darrell and Jecoa Burrows made up the leaderboard.

In Grand Prix B, Darren Dowling saw off his namesake Alex to take the day's honours by 70 points to 56. Kyle Pimental was just off the second place pace, finishing on 54 points with Patrick Groening back on 37 in fourth. Raymond Thompson, Vince Belboda and Billy Dunn made up the rest of the competitors, Dunn failing to finish the first race and not starting the other two.

In Grand Prix A ,Shannon Caisey lost the first race to Josonne Smith but took the other two to see off his rival by just five points.

Leroy Trott came in third by virtue of being the only other rider in the class, although he failed to start the final two races.

In Mini Bike A, Jonathan Tumbridge had a first, second and third to take overall honours with 61 points, namesake Joshua grabbing the runner-up spot five points back.

Shannon Caisey and Paulo Silva made up the other riders.

Jiqon Belboda grabbed first spot in Mini Bike B, racking up 66 points with two wins and a third on the day. Termel Wolf and Johnathan Cabral came in second and third.

In Stock Modified, Grant (Chelsea) Goudge had a perfect day with three wins for 75 points. Perry DeSilva was second on 52 points, Neville Lathan third on 49 and Glenn Mello back in fourth on 20.
