Police are expecting the largest crowd ever at the National Stadium this Saturday evening for the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir concert

Special park and ride arrangements have been made to ease traffic congestion at the event which is anticipated attract about 7,000 music fans

In addition to regular parking in Gymnasium Field and the surrounding area, there will also be parking at Prospect Primary School and free buses will ferry concert-goers from special parking areas at TCD, Bernard Park, Dellwood School field and Victor Scott School field.

All parking is free except at Prospect Primary and Victor Scott where there will be a nominal charge as a school fund-raiser.

Buses will leave from Dutton Avenue at 15-minute intervals starting at 5 p.m. and will travel along Parsons Road to the National Sports Centre and then along Frog Lane and Palmetto Road.

The last bus to the National Sports Centre will leave Dutton Avenue at 8 p.m.

Police and organisers are urging as many concert-goers as possible to use the remote parking facilities in order to avoid traffic delays in and around the National Sports Centre.

Buses will be available to take patrons back to the remote parking areas immediately after the event, which is expected to finish around 11 p.m.

Seniors and patrons in wheelchairs can be dropped off at the main gate on Parsons Road and there will be reserved parking at Gymnasium Field.
